As Tulane welcomes fans back for its first on-campus football game in 40 years, people who plan on attending the game at Yulman Stadium are being urged to arrive early.

The City of New Orleans is urging people to be patient and to be prepared for heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic along South Claiborne Avenue and in the neighborhoods surrounding the campus.

Beginning at 9 a.m Saturday, only vehicles with a permit will be allowed access to Audubon Boulevard in both directions from Claiborne to Willow Street, to Willow Street in both directions from Calhoun Street to Audubon Street, and on Ben Weiner Drive between Claiborne and McAllister.

Taxi cab stands will be located in the 6500 block of South Claiborne.  A charter bus loading zone will be located in the 6400 block.

General information on parking is available on a 24-hour basis by calling (504) 658-8200.

Parking enforcement personnel will monitor for illegal parking and vehicles parked on neutral grounds will be subject to seizure.  Vehicles parked in driveways must be clear of sidewalks or they will be ticketed or towed.  Motorists are also reminded that they must park in the direction of travel on one-way streets.
