Tyra Banks On Her New Sports Illustrated Cover: "This Is A New Me" [VIDEO]

Where all my America's Next Top Model Superfans at?! Supermodel Tyra Banks is BACK with a new mantra of a "thicker, wiser, and more thankful me," and let's just say I'M 👏🏾SO 👏🏾HERE 👏🏾FOR 👏🏾THIS is quite the understatement of the year. In her most recent interview with Trevor Noah, she proudly speaks of how she is back on the Sports Illustrated 22 years later and 25 pounds heavier and how she is loving her new body to the fullest extent. In an industry, and world now with social media, that is so cut-throat and critical, Tyra is looking to create a fully accepting space for those of all shapes, sizes, and colors and promote positive body image, self-acceptance, and overall inner fierceness.

In her interview, she highlights how she wanted to get her body back to how she was in her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover 22 years ago, which later turned into an ice cream pint night with her mom because #same But at the same time she promotes a complete healthy balanced lifestyle, which ultimately will put you in a place physically, mentally, and later emotionally that will help to make the version of you.

On a personal note, I like many other women struggle with fully loving myself and my curves. Thicker Thighs. Not-As-Toned Tummy. Soft Jawline. After a small bout struggling with an eating disorder my senior year of high school, I realized shortly after that if I don't spoil my body with the love and healthy attention it deserves, then who the heck will? It's influencers like Tyra that use their platform to create the safe space for men and women battling with body image issues that are truly making the difference, and I honestly cannot wait to see what's next as she steps out of retirement.
