Jon Pardi shared how fatherhood has shifted his outlook on life after he and his wife welcomed Baby No. 2 earlier this month.

Pardi responded to questions from social media users on his Instagram story while he was on a flight on Sunday (July 28). The Grand Ole Opry star replied to one question wanting to know how “being a father changed (his) perspective on life,” writing: “They ain’t lying when they (say) it goes by fast. So I never forget that! Time is precious.”

Pardi said one of the tracks “will be a huge father daughter song!” He and his wife, Summer Pardi, are now parents to two young girls. They welcomed their firstborn child, daughter Presley Fawn Pardi, in February 2023. Baby No. 2, Sienna Grace Pardi, followed on Tuesday, July 16. The Pardis have since shared a video of the moment Presley met her baby sister, and Summer shared Baby No. 2’s birth story on her due date. Pardi said it’s been a challenge to balance fatherhood with his career as a singer-songwriter, though “I look up to military people who spend so much time away from their families and love(d) ones and sacrifice [their] lives and times for the USA. So singing, writing and touring is a lot but that’s a good perspective for me to always keep in mind.”

Though he couldn’t reveal a release date yet, Pardi confirmed on another slide on his Instagram story that his forthcoming record will be titled Honkytonk Hollywood. The California-born country artist released his latest full-length country album, Mr. Saturday Night, in September 2022. The 14-track collection included the title track, “Fill ‘Er Up,” “Last Night Lonely,” “Your Heart Or Mine,” “Longneck Way To Go” with Midland and more. Pardi followed that album with a 12-track Christmas project last year. His next album will add to a growing list of career-spanning hits like “Dirt On My Boots,” “Head Over Boots,” “Heartache On The Dance Floor,” “Heartache Medication,” “Night Shift” and more.
