Jelly Roll shared a heartfelt tribute — and a sneak peek of a romantic unreleased ballad — to celebrate his wife’s birthday on Thursday (January 22).
“Today we celebrate you, baby,” the 2026 Grammy nominee wrote in a message to Bunnie Xo on Instagram. “A woman who spends her entire life celebrating everyone else. A woman who spends her every day encouraging and inspiring... A woman who stands up for and speaks for what’s right, even when it’s unpopular... A woman who is fearless... A woman who is bold... today we celebrate a woman that lifts other women up.
“It is said that we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the power of our testimony. I am so glad to see this woman share her testimony with the world,” he continued. “Meeting this woman was arguably the most life-changing moment I ever had. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and our little family, you truly are the rock of this household-you are the single human that turns this house into a home... I love you endlessly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”
Bunnie Xo shared a clip of the ballad, and wrote in her caption, “when he writes you a song for your birthday.” She wanted to know, “should he drop this?”
Jelly Roll met Bunnie Xo in 2015. They shared a “strictly platonic” friendship at first, but they were undeniably “so drawn” to one another, the Dumb Blonde podcast host shared when she previously spoke about the couple’s relationship story. Bunnie Xo, who is getting ready to release her debut memoir next month, shared her first kiss with Jelly Roll in July 2016. The couple said “I do” in a spontaneous wedding in Las Vegas the following month. Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo returned to the same Vegas chapel to renew their vows in August 2023. The “Save Me” artist previously hailed Bunnie Xo “my best friend.”
Jelly Roll is among the country artists nominated at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, returning this spring to Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. See the list of country artists nominated here.
