NOLA Navy Week kicks off today. You'll see ships from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, Great Britain and Canada line the shores of the Mississippi River and you’re invited to join in on the action.
It's World History Wednesday! The tall ship Oliver Hazard Perry is named for the naval officer of the same name. Commodore Perry was born in 1785 - what in the world was happening that year? The first U.S. state university is chartered in Athens, GA - UGA and, to the gratitude of college students everywhere, British inventor Joseph Bramah patents the beer pump handle. Cheers! Come on down to Woldenberg Park, buy a beer and take a tour of @ohpri #TSNOLA2018 Photo T. Neighbors for OHPRI
