Luke Bryan asks Idol hopeful to open for him in Detroit

A new season of America Idol is off an running and the cast from last season has returned! This means we still have Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry as judges, Ryan Seacrest continues to host, and iHeartCountry's Bobby Bones is back as mentor... and that role of mentor has been expanded, so look for even more Bobby this season!

Of course, the talent we'll see auditioning and making it through to Hollywood will be top notch, and that was already been proven when Arthur Gunn came and auditioned. Arthur was born in Nepal, Kathmandu as Dibesh Pokharel and currently lives in Wichita, Kansas. Arthur first performed Bob Dylan's "Girl From the North Country," and when the judges asked for a second song, he covered Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Have You Ever Seen The Rain." His performance blew the judges away so much that not only did all three immediately put him through to Hollywood, but Luke asked for him to be his opening act in Detroit in two weeks! I wonder if Luke was serious about that...

Regardless, Arthur is one of those special artists that pop up on American Idol, and the proof is in his audition. Check it out!
