2 In 5 Adults Have ‘Changed For The Better’ During Lockdown

According to an article at StudyFinds.org, a recent study found two out of five adults say they have changed for the better during the COVID-19 lockdown. Many people have used their extra time at home wisely and have adopted new habits. A survey of 2,000 British adults reveals that 43% of people feel they’ve “changed their ways for the better” as a result of all the time spent inside over the past few months. Some have taken up new hobbies, started new fitness regimens, learned new languages or skills, and many have launched new creative ventures. The study found that more than half of the respondents expect to stick to their new routines and make these permanent improvements.

These results are a bit of silver lining to what has been a pretty dark time for most of the world. The COVID-19 crisis has brought some people closer to family as well. 45% said they are connecting with loved ones more than before, with the use of Zoom, Skype, Facetime, etc. for just checking in, birthday parties, trivia nights, and other get-togethers.

20% of all surveyed are enjoying the extra sleep they've been getting. Tough to argue with that one. Positive life changes or no, we can all agree that extra sleep is a win.
