Time Spent Online


A new study claims that the average American gets lost online for 40 minutes each week, losing track of time to get the bottom of a lingering question.

It’s notallabout studying up, however – 77% said they felt satisfied when a Google search confirmed they were correct about something. According to the data drawn in the report, here are the most-searched topics people look up to dispute a disagreement:

  1. Historical events – 42%
  2. Political and economic facts – 41%
  3. The year an event occurred – 40%
  4. Spelling – 37%
  5. Actors in movies – 34%
  6. Weather forecasts – 33%
  7. Artists who sing certain songs – 29%
  8. Geography – 27%
  9. Grammar – 27%
  10. Recipe ingredients – 26%
