As expected, Tropical Storm Nestor was named in the Gulf of Mexico Friday afternoon.

The system continues to move swifty northeast with max winds of 60 miles per hour.

The biggest impacts from Nestor could be felt along coastal southeastern Louisiana. Little to no impact is expected further inland from the system.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect from Grand Isle north to the mouth of the Pearl River. A coastal flood advisory is also in effect.
