Tropical weather experts at Colorado State University are predicting another above-average Atlantic hurricane season.
CSU forecasters are calling for 19 named storms this year, with nine becoming hurricanes. Of those, four could become major storms of Category 3 or higher.
According to CSU, the Atlantic season has averaged 14 named storms, seven hurricanes and three major hurricanes over the past 30 years.
