80s Songs That Were Remade & Became Popular Hits

Billboard released a list of songs from the '80s that were hits and then were remade and hit the Top 10 on the charts again. Bobby Bones has been saying in recent years that he thinks the 80s were the worst decade for music and just in general. Some listeners have tried to convince him otherwise, but it hasn't worked. With this article, Bones admitted that there are some good songs from the 80s, but he still stands by his statement. He shared the top eight from Billboard, find out the list below:  

Tracy Chapman’s 1988 hit “Fast Car” was remade by Luke Combs in 2023.  

Cyndi Lauper’s 1984 hit “Time After Time” was remade by INOJ in 1999.  

Bryan Adams 1985 hit “Heaven” was remade by DJ Sammy in 2002. 

Lipps Inc. 1980 hit “Funkytown” was remade by Pseudo Echo in 1985.  

Willie Nelson’s 1982 song “Always On My Mind” was remade by the Pet Shop Boys in 1987. 

Elton John’s originally wrote his 1988 hit “Candle In The Wind” for Marilyn Monroe, and then he remade it in 1997 for Princess Diana.  

Roxette’s 1988 hit “Listen to Your Heart” was remade in 2005 by D.H.T.
